Cobweb of the Day: Abandoned Blog
Dear you, my little Tumblr text post box, how have you been? You have been missed by the one who’s typing now. You used to be abused by her and now that she’s back, you must keep it cool again. You were replaced by her new friend Twitter, who’s been driving her sanity away…like what you did to her before. Does it have to be that way? Is it that when she gets bored at you, you get abandoned and forgotten? Do things work like that?
Before, she used to have awkward and really really weird usernames. These were all her names:
At least the last one was pretty normal. But it was infested with virus. A lot of them.
She also conformed to social networking sites such as Friendster and Multiply, which are now seen as uhhh…windows 95?
You see, when you get outdated, everyone forgets you. You have to keep changing, keep improving, improve on features, and stay useful. That’s why Facebook manipulates people in some way. But still, Tumblr, you’re the best pal she’s ever had. Next to Twitter. Don’t forget that. When she gets dementia, you’ll be the sweetest memory remaining.
Cobweb of the Day: SONA Fever
How has the country been with P. Noynoy’s administration? Is it still continuously crippled with the damaged brought forth by GMA’s governance? Can improvement be felt in all aspects? I have not looked over news for quite a time already but lately I have been intrinsically motivated to read up on newspapers and listen to a little current events. However, I still find it hard to perceive what has been happening in the Philippines. It shall take me more effort to truly contemplate on the country’s status. I have rather been preoccupied into dealing with psychology concepts and other science-related whatnot. I admit that this is not an excuse for me to be patriotically aware. P. Noynoy indeed brought a lot of hope to the Filipinos last year but there has been a decline in his popularity. As a regular citizen, development in various areas is a little bit felt but more adaptive measures should be considered to maximize his term. The value of the Philippine peso, for instance, is commendable; on the other hand, it is a relative epitome of the USA’s economic crisis. Despite this, P. Noynoy has been consistently transparent with his projects (and I suppose with the government funds). With education, he has promised to provide more books to public schools. As I have read previously, this was already done by the previous administration. I breath deeply after thinking what to put next in this entry. I am in disbelief that I could express little about this. I just want to support our president in his endeavours. If I could talk to him right now, I would tell him that I am proud of him and he has to put more effort because much is expected of him. (P.S. I still have to read up more and become more vigilant. It is obvious that my knowledge on Philippine current events is minimal.)
Cobweb of the Day: Lord…
Dear Lord, kinakabahan ako. Sobra. Hindi ko na kaya. Give up na ba? Kaya ba ‘to?
The signs tell me I can’t do it. I’ve resisted my intuition for quite a long time already. I should be fooling myself again. But since I’ve started it already, I’m on the go for it. I have failed a lot of times already and this could be another one. But Lord, I know you have a plan. Whatever happens happens. And you have been with me Lord. Through good. Through bad. Through times of desperation. I’m afraid Lord. Keep me on doing this without the idea of failure but rather the idea of serving you. Enlighten me Lord with Your gift of love and wisdom.
Amen.
